Starting & Charging Systems
The starting and charging systems play vital roles in your vehicle. The starting system consists of the battery, starter, ignition switch, brake switch, and park/neutral position or clutch switch. If your car doesn't start, it could be the result of a failure in one of these components. The battery is also part of the charging system, along with the alternator - whose job is to keep the vehicle powered once it's started. If the alternator fails, your vehicle will continue to run until the battery voltage is too low for the computers to maintain normal operations.
But don't worry, WE CAN FIX IT!
Check Engine Light
The check engine light is the primary indicator of a problem in most vehicles. It's designed to illuminate to let the driver know when something's not operating correctly. This light will come on if a sensor reading is outside of its normal parameters, or conflicts with other sensor data. An engine misfire will often cause the check engine light to flash, and will cause the engine to run rough and lack power. A misfire left unrepaired can cause severe damage to the catalytic converter. Our team of trusty technicians can accurately pinpoint the source of the problem and get it fixed to keep your vehicle performing at its best.
Computerized Diagnostics
Today's vehicles often have 10 or more computers on board controlling various functions ranging from engine & transmission operation to heating & cooling of the vehicle's interior to power seats & seat heaters. To diagnose these systems, you need an advanced computer diagnostic interface to see the data the computers are receiving from the various sensors and components, and the training required to understand what the data means and how it affects operations. Our technicians have the training and experience to diagnose and repair these complex computerized systems to get you back on the road quickly.
